Today I will talk about about a wine that is made in an abbey, it’s perhaps one of the most famous in Hungary.

Pannonhalma is located in the North-West of Hungary and the Apátság (Abbey) is perhaps  the most famous winery in Pannonhalma and it provides wine for the President of Hungary among other things.

This particular rosé is actually not that impressive in my personal opinion, Pannonhalmi Apátsági did already better. Does this mean it’s bad? Well no, some people might like this but I think this wine is perfect for fröccs (wine + sparkling water).
The wine has not that much flavor and is very much overwhelmed by the alcohol flavors. It probably fermented for a very short time in stainless steel barrels.

The rosé is made from Pinot Noir and Merlot grapes, and has a very light color, it has hints of strawberry in the nose and has a very harsh acid structure, other than this there is not much to it.

The price was 1610HUF, which is 5.20 euros.
