About Me

My name is Michael Zeebroek, and my story has always been intertwined with hospitality and wine.

It began in the kitchen of my first restaurant. I fell in love with the controlled chaos, the seamless teamwork, and the magic of it all. That passion eventually led me out into the dining room, where I took charge of the guest experience. With top marks in school, the path to becoming a Sommelier seemed clear, but the world was calling. I put my studies on hold for an adventure that took me from my home in Belgium to the bustling streets of New York and London.

In the winter of 2013, life brought me to Budapest, my wife’s home country. Here, I continued my journey with wine.

My grandfather was the one who first taught me to find the stories within a bottle of wine. When he passed away in early 2022 after a short battle with cancer, the stories fell silent for me. I stepped away, taking time to grieve and reflect during a sabbatical in Scarsdale, New York.

But a true passion never really fades. We moved back to Budapest in the late spring of 2025, and I feel that spark returning, stronger and more meaningful than before. I’m excited to pick up where I left off and share my passion for wine once again.”
