A robust red wine of made by the king of rosé wines
For more information about the winery you can have a look in the drop down menu under Hungarian wines, Szekszárd or you can also click this link.
Dúzsi Tamás is famous for his rosé wines but that does not mean he can’t make some interesting red ones. This is again a Birtokbor (estate wine) made from Kékfrankos, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The wine is very dark colored and is a full bodied wine. It’s a heavy dry wine and it’s not a bottle you want to open on it’s own. The nose has hints of oak and cloves, there are black fruits in it with black currant being dominant. The taste is very robust and is a bit spicy, there is more oak in the flavors than in the scent. It also has great tannins.
